Hannah Rooftop Photoshoot
Hannah Rooftop Photoshoot with LeDrew Agency in Toronto
My second rooftop photoshoot in downtown Toronto with model Hannah from LeDrew Agency, and it feels like there couldn’t be a better photo location in the city. The fashion model against the city skyline always looks amazing, providing a dramatic and captivating background. The rooftop is a perfect setting for high fashion shoots, offering a unique perspective on the city’s architecture.
We met at 9 AM, with the sun already high in the sky. The harsh, glaring sunlight created strong shadows and not a cloud in sight. Previously, I had always refused to shoot outdoors during the day – not because it’s difficult, but because achieving something truly beautiful is a significant challenge. The model constantly squints under the blazing sun, which can be harsh on the eyes, and the strong shadows are difficult to manage. Especially challenging when shooting without a team of lighting assistants and without any budget. Our budget was approximately $0. If I had my studio, I could undoubtedly create much more polished content, but for now, I embrace these difficult conditions. It feels like a personal challenge to overcome.
In total, I shot 170 GB of photos in just 2 hours, equivalent to 2,800 photos. This article barely fits 5% of all the photos, and even those might not be the best. I’m often in a hurry, so the results are as they are. But even under these conditions, some images turned out beautifully.
Special Thanks
As always, I can’t help but express my gratitude to the LeDrew agency, which once again offered me the opportunity to shoot such a wonderful model. Thanks to Delaney (the agent from the agency), we gained access to this fantastic rooftop.
I hope these photographs find their place in a magazine someday, as they capture a blend of challenge, beauty, and the essence of Toronto’s skyline.
